Upmarket Leisure Expands Its Luxury Hospitality Portfolio with Iconic London Rooftop Bar
Acquisition of Radio Rooftop
Upmarket Leisure, a premium hospitality group, has recently acquired the iconic Radio Rooftop bar situated within the prestigious five-star hotel, ME London. This acquisition further solidifies the strategic partnership between Upmarket Leisure and Spain’s largest hotel group, Meliá Hotels International. The objective is to significantly enhance the luxury lifestyle hotel’s food and beverage services, thereby introducing more innovation and growth to the design-centric venue.
Enhancing the Food and Beverage Experience
With over two decades of senior management experience in owning, operating and investing in premium restaurants and bars, Upmarket Leisure assumes control over all food and beverage operations. This includes Radio Rooftop, Marconi Bar, ME events, and in-room dining. The group is dedicated to delivering a five-star experience that aligns with ME London’s world-class operating standards. This initiative is reminiscent of the impactful tradeshows that have been organized in London’s event spaces.
New Menu and Refurbishment Plans
As part of the changes, a new menu featuring Asian small plates and a vast selection of drinks tailored for a stylish and discerning clientele will be introduced in the autumn. A refurbishment of the celebrated Radio, one of London’s most popular rooftop bars, will follow in the New Year.
Strengthening Partnership with Meliá’s ME Brand
The recent development strengthens Upmarket Leisure’s relationship with Meliá’s ME brand. The business also owns and operates premium Italian restaurant Luciano by Gino D’Acampo. Mat Cunningham, managing director of Upmarket Leisure, expressed delight at extending their valued partnership with Meliá Hotels International.
